The photos on this page are from Mikkal's recent teaching stint in Cogolin, France, at Center Trimurti (Mar 12-15) where the 'Cercle de Sagesse Ancestrale' put on an International Shamanic Festival for shamans of the world. Shamanic healers from Siberia, Scandanavia, North, Central and South America, Africa, France, Germany and Switzerland came to gether to share ancestral wisdom teachings and run shamanic workshops and healings. Mikkal presented a couple of lectures on Cherokee shamanism and Jungian psychology, and 3 experiential workshops on Initiatory Skeletization and Awakening the Shaman within, both guided journeys. He also offered a discussion forum on Shamanism, Jung, and Clinical Practice for a variety of psychologists, psychiatrists, philosophers and other health care professionals. The focus was on the shamanic-psychotherapeutic treatment of psychoses such as schizophrenia. You can check the calendar for the Shaman Festival in 2010, but it will be roughly the same dates in March. Translations of Mikkal's work in France will soon be available in French, German, and Spanish .
